2023 RECAP - SAINT SIMONS ISLAND FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER
It’s that time of year again – when I like to look back and reflect on all the amazing clients I’ve seen this year. As a Saint Simons Island family photographer for almost 14 years, I have seen a lot of faces come through my studio doors, and I’m so thankful that so many of you keep coming back year after year to have me photograph these important memories for you.
The most popular item this year was definitely our albums, specifically our Heirloom Albums. I designed so many family albums and First Year albums for my Collective Clients, and it makes me happy to see so many of you having these keepsakes to look back on. My 2024 goal is to take more photos of the albums before delivering them. It’s hard to do that when they come wrapped so pretty, and I want to get them to you quickly.
I added several new dresses and men’s clothing to the studio wardrobe this year, as well as lots of pieces for babies and toddlers. And let’s not forget about our Heirloom wardrobe. I just cannot help myself when it comes to purchasing these precious, timeless heirloom pieces for your children to use in their sessions.
I have been doing Heirloom portait sessions now for about 8 years. It’s fun to see them gaining popularity not just in the south, but all over the U.S. In the past I have done Heirloom Portrait Events, however, with the increase in clients asking for these I now offer them ALL YEAR and even had a lot of First Year Collective members add them on to their one year session. Since I only photograph these Monday through Friday, I’ve decided that this year I will offer one Saturday in the spring and one Saturday in the late summer/early fall to do these as an event for those who cannot make a weekday work. These aren’t all of the sessions I’ve photographed this year, as quite a few of my clients choose to not have their photos posted online and I totally respect that. But this is a good summary of the year. Lots of babies and lots of my newest portrait offering - BLACK LABEL, and I can’t wait to see a lot of you in 2024. Thanks for another amazing year!
